Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

The first time I wrote about a movie was after I watched Lalaland which has left me in awe and has inspired me to pursue harder in reaching my dreams. Since then, I created my schedule on how to achieve my ambitions one by one, regardless how busy I may get at work. This will be the my 2nd time to write about a movie – and this time, it is about - Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

Mamma Mia 2 was released in Singapore on August 8 this year and I watched it with my amazing friends. I can't help but to admire this movie.

It's a musical romantic sing-a-long film which lasted for about 2 hours, however, it won't make you feel exhausted. It's so inspiring and thought-provoking. Most of the time, I caught myself singing along with the songs played and also repeating the lines that made sense to me. There were so many things that you could jot down to remind yourself on important life lessons. This movie has so much to tell. Apart from the seemingly perfect scenes, what I like most is Donna's character. She is daring, adventurous, recklessly brave and fearless- on which, to the contrary, I really never had been that audacious. I always take steps cautiously and think of the worst case scenarios that might happen so I can prepare myself and achieve the best outcome in everything that I do. But, it came into my intuition that sometimes, we just need to take a leap and trust ourselves.

Taking a leap towards a bigger goal can be tough. We ask ourselves, am I ready? What if I'm not? What if it fails? What if I am left alone to do these plans? What if this is wrong? And so many “what if's.” However, we will never be ready unless we decide that we are and it will never be the right time unless we decide that today is the time. What I am trying to say is that when things around us are already ready, why do we doubt ourselves that we are? Shouldn't we be brave enough to take the leap? Like Donna, we should believe in ourselves. In the movie, after Donna has graduated in Oxford University, she has decided to embark her journey in Europe. Which was really exciting and amazing! The view of the places she went were all astonishing! She always has a positive mind. And what I like most is that even though things weren't perfect and happy as how she expected it to be, she remained strong, confident and determined.

Perhaps, this is something we can think about to help ourselves. Everyday will never be perfect, however, we can make things better by having a positive mind, a strong-willed heart, an unshakable faith and by choosing to be strong to be willing to make every single day – better. How about you, what are your thoughts on this movie? :)
