Universal Studios Singapore

Singapore is an excellent place for you, your family and friends to have a vacation. There are a lot of tourist destinations that you can visit in Singapore.

One of the “must visit places” in Singapore is the Universal Studios.

Universal Studios Singapore, also known as USS, is situated at the Resorts World. The nearest MRT station is Harbour Front of North-East Line (Purple Line). You have to take exit E to VivoCity and proceed to the 3rd floor to board the Sentosa Express. Next, you need to alight at Waterfront station. From there, you are just 5 minutes away from the USS entrance.

As written in YourSingapore website, USS is a movie-themed entertainment park in Singapore. Yes, you have the chance to ride the movies!

Before you hop in, you should not forget to take a good photo at the picturesque spot, the Universal Studios Globe.

After you had your few great shots, it’s time for you to buy tickets. Regular tickets are sold at 74 sgd (when I purchased it last year). If you wish to purchase tickets online, you can go to this link http://www.rwsentosa.com/language/en-US/Homepage/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore.

The waiting time is not that long. I suggest you should be there early to avoid waiting in a longer queue.

Once you are in, you will be amazed on the ecstatic ambiance. People are cheerful and the place is totally fascinating! Imagine – souvenir shops and cafes are all over and all you have to do is to choose!

Our first stop was the Madagascar ride. It is a wonderful riverboat ride that will take you to a fun-filled jungle together with Madagascar characters Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria.

Our next stop was the Enchanted Airways. This was my first taste of an amusing junior roller coaster ride. It’s not that scary, but it’s fast!

Next, we went to watch Shrek’s 4D Adventure. This was my first time to watch a 4D movie. All I can say is it is exceptional. You’ll never get to experience an extreme 4D adventure. You will surely be entertained!

The 4D Movie theater is inside that palace! There’s more to your Shrek Adventure, they have recently opened the Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey. It’s a suspended roller coaster ride for the whole family. I rode it with my parents and they liked it.

Next is the Donkey Live Show. It’s an interactive live show experience. I realized that Donkey has pretty good voice and has great dancing skills too!

Next was our LUNCH!

There are so much choices of restaurants in Universal Studios! On our stay there, we went to the StarBot Cafe. I wasn’t able to take photos of our meals because I was so hungry that time!

After we had our lunch, we had a long walk first before taking another ride.

Ever miss the Jurassic Park?

USS has this the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. It’s a water raft adventure that will leave you not only wet but soaked!!!

Ponchos (plastic raincoats) can be bought at the entrance of this ride.

I also tried this Canopy Flyer which gave me chills while riding it.

Our next stop was the Water World. It’s a live water show which features great stunts and pyrotechnics! It’s like watching a movie right in front of you. It’s so cool!

Heard about the Revenge of the Mummy ride? Probably, it’s one of the best rides in Universal Studios. You should try it yourself!

I admit, I was scared while we were waiting for our turn. The experience was so scary. I even told myself that I shouldn’t try it again, but in the end, I did. I was thinking the experience would be different, yet, the tremendous fear is still persistent!

For those who took this ride, I salute you for your bravery. This ride is the scariest ride I have experienced!

Have you heard about the Battlestar Galactica? Doug Kramer (of the famous Team Kramer) rode this! Of course I did not try it! It’s the “world’s tallest dueling roller coasters,” (http://www.rwsentosa.com).

For those who love roller coasters SO MUCH, then this is for you.

So we went to have the Transformers Ride instead. And this is extraordinary. When you take this ride, you will be convinced that everything you see is real. It’s like having a 4D movie yet you are actually included in the scenes!

The next zone is the Hollywood Zone.

Here you can find entertaining performers like the “The Cruisers.”

Recently, the USS welcomed it’s 25th Million Visitor on January 24, 2017.

There are a lot more that Universal Studios Singapore has to offer. I may have not mentioned everything but I suggest you should try it too! It is open from 9:00 am up to 7:00 pm.

Have fun!
